On weekends you can find her gardening, at the beach with her family, or weight lifting with her husband. Holley believes that our body is a gift and when we empower our body, we empower our life.
At the age of 22, I was living my dream life in the modeling and acting industry.
I was modeling and acting during the day and teaching runway, TV, and commercial acting at night at local talent school.
But eventually, my dream life shattered when the ugly side of the beauty industry showed up.
The message I began to hear over and over was that I needed to "lose more weight", even though I was a healthy size 4-6. This lead to many unhealthy habits, including drug addiction to manage my weight, and a heavy dose of daily negative self-talk as I looked in the mirror.
Eventually, I had to get out of the industry to save my sanity, my self-esteem, and my life. That's when I decided to hire a health and fitness mentor, to get healthy mentally and physically. I hired "Tom the Trainer". He was a tall, dark, and handsome personal trainer who gave me accolades not for being skinny but for being strong, and not for outer beauty but for the beauty of self-care.
It wasn't long before "Tom the trainer" became Tom my partner and we opened our own personal training studio in San Diego in 2005. And before we knew it our passion for fitness turned into a passion for each other, and we got married. We felt unstoppable together. As a team, we were committed to helping families get fit and helping women design their dream bodies.
I began speaking to audiences of women on the topic of fitness in 2014. As I met entrepreneurial women with inspiring stories of overcoming huge hurdles, I realized that there were not enough women on stage. Most (as much as 75%) of the speakers on stage are men.
And unexpectedly, I found a NEW passion!
A passion for helping women take the stage to share THEIR message, tell THEIR story, share THEIR mission.
I call it "stepping into your Signature Star Power".
